Job Description
Pourquoi a-t-on besoin de vous ?
Objectives :
- To provide steering, leading, and coordination of the quality related activities between OEM Project Management, Quality System Management and Manufacturing Quality for CORE and especially EV related business across TS sites (strong focus on Europe).
- To implement according to identified needs/gaps new systems/ procedures that support the local manufacturing sites (focus EU + depending on needs US) to align with IATF standards and needs for OEM business stabilization.
- To coordinate and conduct supplier selection, quality assessment and development activities (focus key/ multi-site supplier)
Responsability - Main Tasks :
- responsible to strengthen the exchange between the site quality teams (e.g. by organizing regular quality team meetings, promoting more cross-site collaboration and team work, share best practices across sites driving standardization forward, etc.)
- lead/guide the European Quality Team (direct team, indirect/ dotted line >8 spread across different sites like BIA, CBY, CHX, KOLO, LTE, WAA, and WIL)
- lead the manufacturing sites transition from reactive to proactive indicator management to detect, assess and mitigate the quality issues at an early stage
- develop a global quality system for overlapping and general procedures while still keeping the final IATF responsibility at the sites (i.e. avoiding an IATF certification of the global organization)
- strive for standardization across sites (e.g. QAA) and align local structures with e.g. EV commercial requirements; make sure CORE and EV procedures are aligned; make sure flexibility is kept for the CORE business/ avoid heavy process structures for CORE
- develop and formalize procedures and templates (e.g. flow charts, work instructions) in close collaboration with the local manufacturing sites and commercial teams (especially for the automotive business related to EV)
- consult, assist and actively support the sites to achieve and maintain IATF certifications
- watch out for new tools/ systems that help to simplify, stabilize and standardize processes to e.g. reduce response times and quality of claim management with the overall goal to lean quality processes (e.g. lower the manual workload)
- initiate, lead and realize projects across the organization (e.g., EQMS, FMEA, APQP); secure an efficient implementation and make sure that the different requirements of the sites are respected to ensure commitment
- provide trainings (PPAP, 8D, …) and facilitate route cause analysis related to specific issues that have an immediate impact on the operations especially non-quality costs (waste, claims)
- conduct Supplier Quality Assessments (SQAs according VDA 6.3) for strategic material supplier and service provider (e.g. converters); define action plans in collaboration with the supplier, track progress to close gaps and update audit reports
- in close cooperation with purchasing ensure the Supplier Quality Assurance Agreement (QAA) is signed with strategic suppliers to mitigate e.g. business risk, warranty handling; coordinate and conduct regularly SQAs to develop the key suppliers towards IATF standard
Depending on Need/ Urgency:
- if required/ in critical cases front-line support of OEM projects (e.g. claim handling, customer communication)

Mandatory requirements :
Education
- Master’s degree preferrable technical
Work experience
- > 6 years proven experience in dealing with 1st tier automotive OEM business/ or direct OEM experience. Proven operative experience in dealing with automotive quality standards (IATF, VDA 6.3).
- > 6 years proven ability to guide people and find a common sense; ability to influence without authority, develop and motivate colleagues.
- > 3 years proven project management experience. Used to work with different sites.
- High level of seniority to manage autonomously complex quality related issues.
- Able to guide, coach and train relevant stakeholders
Hard skills
- Knowledge of quality systems (e.g. IATF, VDA 6.3), methodologies, tools and documentation requirements
- VDA 6.3 auditor status preferable
- Project management skills (courses + proven execution); preferable related to the implementation of systems
